Photography action has been a little on the slow side lately. I planned a trip to Colorado National Monument for late May some time ago, however, life and circumstances required I push the trip back. Well, It’s finally looking like I’ll be doing that trip on June 14th.

I’ve been to Grand Junction many times but I’ve never really done much photography there. Today’s photo was from a 2016 trip to Moab with my friend Jonathan Steele. We stopped in Fruita (near Grand Junction) and photographed this abandoned bridge.

This year, I need to begin making images of Colorado National Monument, for future publication. I can’t really claim to be an intrepid Colorado Photographer if I haven’t actually covered all of the main photographic subjects in Colorado, so off we go. Two nights and three days of exploring should give me plenty of research and ideas for future trips to the area near Grand Junction.
