This is an older photo I made at the summit of Mt. Blue Sky (formerly Mt. Evans) of a wild Billy Mountain Goat.
Lots of matted hair and a serious attitude made this a great capture of this wild critter.
I haven’t photographed Mountain Goats much over the past 3-4 years. Mt. Blue Sky has turned into a tourist hell-hole and the goats have been suffering as a result. I don’t want to contribute to the situation, so I avoid the location. It’s closed for the year this year to repair the roads. A break I’m sure the Mountain Goats will appreciate.
