Starting off a new week here in Colorado. The new year has been less than exciting for me, photographically speaking. Lots of snow, lots of cold, lots of doctors, lots of grief, and very little outdoor time. All these things add up to a very strong desire to get back to a normal routine and making more photographs.
Things are going okay though, at the moment. I’m feeling much better than I was two months ago. My mind is getting back on track for my upcoming annual trip to Monte Vista, Colorado to photograph the Sandhill Crane migration.
I head to Monte Vista on March 10th for three nights and four days of photography with a couple of my buddies. Two week out. I have my photography gear pretty much assembled and packed. All that is left is the doing it part. It will be good to break out of the Winter prison and hit the road with some friends.
