It looks daunting
One of the last moose photographs I made in 2021.
I was hosting a group outing when this cow decided to move through the pines to eat. It looks daunting, but if you read her body language, she wasn’t being aggressive. Notice her ears perked up. When a moose is angry at you, those ears will be laying back and the hair on her back will be standing up (getting their hackles up.) We stayed cautious though and kept our distance, moose can be temperamental. I like the catch light in her eyes. I used a flash on this photo.
