A surprise encounter
Bald Eagle in Northern Colorado.
I just returned from a road trip. The last photo I made was of this Bald Eagle. Judging by the size of the beak, it looks to be a female.
I was driving past a mountain lake and spotted her flying towards me across the lake to my left on a course to intersect. She perched on a dead tree just short of the road in front of me, giving me a perfect shot of her.
