In 2010 I began working at the Georgetown Loop NGRR in Georgetown, CO doing photographic tours for seven years and I had a lot of fun. This photo is one from the very first tour I gave back in June of 2010. Steam Engine #12 rolling across the Devil’s Gate Trestle Bridge, above Clear Creek. I converted it to sepia tone to give it that old-time look. I used to sell a lot of those sepia tone steam train photos at art festivals. Train photos are still some of my best selling images to this day and I try to get out every year to make new photographs.
Camera: Canon EOS 1Ds MkII w Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L @ 73mm.
On a side note…
I’ve had a few inquiries lately about my health. I don’t normally air my laundry in public but I just wanted to tell my concerned readers that I’ve been a bit distracted since New Years day, dealing with personal medical stuff and I haven’t really done much work outside of the house while I get all that business taken care of. Not to worry, I’m doing okay for now and there is no dire situation unfolding, just some occasional pain and suffering to various degrees. Not to mention a slew of Doctors appointments to deal with. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
