A few years back the Union Pacific Railroad rebuilt the Big Boy #4014 locomotive.
In this May 4th, 2019 photo are the #4014 and the #844 running together on the maiden voyage of the rebuilt #4014, near the town of Tie Siding, Wyoming. I think they retired the 844 after this run. A rare sight to see two of the largest locomotives ever built running together.
Chasing the train that day was a madhouse. Cars lined the road from Cheyenne to Laramie, Wyoming. It was virtually impossible to find a spot to make photos. But, I was actually on a private ranch with nobody else around when I took this photo and was the only one with this viewpoint that day.
