Rail Depot Museum in Grover, Colorado
it's a sleepy shadow of it's heyday
Sorting through my ghost town/abandoned places photographs, here’s a photograph I made in the town of Grover, Colorado back in 2023.
Grover is an interesting place (to me.) It’s part ghost town, part real town. I have a friend who used to live in Grover. But, Grover is also a quasi ghost town that boomed when the Burlington railroad came there in 1887 and turned it into a rail hub in north central Colorado. Today, it’s a sleepy shadow of it’s heyday, but one can still stop for gasoline and visit the old rail depot museum (if it’s open.)
