I am sort of back on my normal routine here. The wife is New York taking care of family business and I’m lurking here at home with my dogs, taking care of business. I’ve got my computer pretty much configured, and the monitors are now color calibrated. Life goes on.
Today’s “Scenic Sunday” photo was made in Blue Mesa, Colorado on September 29th, 2017 while taking a client to the San Juan’s for a photo tour. I have been through this area many times over the years, and generally try to stop and make a photo of this scene. Blue Mesa reservoir is the largest lake in Colorado and the towering cliffs above the lake make for an interesting composition. Last year, one of the bridges over this reservoir was taken out of service, so travel along this route has been curtailed, so I wasn’t able to stop at this spot. Hopefully they’ll have that bridge back in action this year. It’s a main route from my home to the San Juan Mountains.
