He wasn’t with us long enough, but the 8 years we had together were filled with love and happiness.
Doobie left this world on February 18th after a devastating sinus tumor ended his life.
Doobie was a rescue dog. His previous owners abandoned him as a puppy. We knew the moment we met him that we had to save him.
After getting Doobie as a rescue dog, we found out through DNA testing that Doobie was a McNab Shepherd. A mix of just two dogs, Australian Cattle Dog and Border Collie. McNab dogs are not a recognized breed by the American Kennel Club, they are a specific breed with origins in California. They are highly regarded for their temperament, loyalty and intelligence.
Doobie was the most unique and friendly dog we have ever had, Trudy and I are still reeling from losing him. There’s a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
Doobie lived a happy and loving life. His suffering was brief. We will remember him forever.
