Georgetown Loop Narrow Guage Railroad

(Full Day Photo Tour/Workshop)

Of course, we're looking for steam trains, but be aware, Gray photography has no control over operations at Georgetown Loop NGRR.

I'll provide help and instruction to anyone who needs it. meet at 9 AM at the Silver Plume, Colordo station where we'll get some early morning photographs of the train as it prepares for the day. We'll board the first train out of Silver Plume and ride it to the Lebanon mine area.

We'll get photographs in the mine area in back areas not accessable by the general public and then board the train to the Georgetown station.

We'll have our lunch in Georgetown and then do more photography in the back areas around the Devils gate and in other areas not normally available to the general public.

Attendees should be in good physical condition. There will be a little hiking involved and Georgetown is at high altitude. I require that all attendees sign a liability waiver as well.

The September session should provide us with some Autumn color, depending on how Autumn progresses at this altitude.

We are planning on the railroad running their steam locomotive on each of these dates, but be aware that Gray Photography has no control over what equipment will be running on any given day. The workshop will continue with or without the steam locomotive.

We also can't predict the weather, so the workshops will be held rain or shine, no refunds for inclimate weather unless GLRR cancels the train.

This is a popular workshop, so our refund policy will be strictly enforced for this event. You can review our cancellation policy by clicking here.

Since we will be in the mountains all day, it is recommended that you bring drinking water and some snacks.  We do provide a box lunch, but you'll want to maintain your energy and hydration throughout the day.  You'll also want to wear good hiking shoes and bring suitable outer-wear for a day in the mountains.

I'll be in contact with all attendees about a week prior to their workshop to go over equipment recommendations and such.

This workshop is by reservation only. No walk in customers will be accepted. You may book your spot by contacting me by email or by telephone at 303-948-1972. First come first served.  Or you can contact me by filling out the contact form on the contact page.
